When we got our place in Boise, I was immediately in love. We are right around the corner from where I grew up and something about that felt so special and nostalgic. Our house is an old gal, built in 1911 and we had to do some serious renovations. But she came together and I named her Iris after the irises my mom planted in front of my childhood house. Every spring they bloomed you could smell them coming up the sidewalk to the front door.
This piece is based on the love I have for my dearest Iris, and my momma who makes anywhere feel like home!
